Lucas Gonzalez (b. 2000, Miami, FL) is a New York based architect, designer, scenographer, and interdisciplinary alumnus of the Columbia GSAPP school (M.Arch 2025). His work moves through architecture and scenographic design as a mode of cultural inquiry, exploring how space reflects and reshapes the way we relate. Drawing from queer theory and performative practices, he constructs environments that operate between ritual and speculation, unsettling the boundaries between narrative and form. His academic and professional background bridges sustainable design thinking with conceptual experimentation, informed by collaborations with The NYC LGBT Center, Harlem Grown, and studios including SOM and CannonDesign. His recent projects and writings have been featured in Dingcreativestudio and Design Studio-Mag (2025).
